He is survived by: his daughter Rebecca Melton; his mother Barbara Nester; his stepfather Duane Nester of Hillsville; his brother Larry C. Melton (Carrie); his nephew David; his nieces, Caitlin Smith (Zach) of Ft. Pierce, Shelby of Ft. Pierce, Haylee Melton of Ft. Pierce, Antonette Harrison and Chasen Swett; and his close friends, Ruby Ellington, Marquita Jones Runion, Micheal Runion and James Merritt.
