He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie L. Williams and Lillie Nichols Williams; his wife Barbara Stokes Williams; his daughter Heather Ray Hall; his grandson Thomas Shane Johnson; his daughter-in-law Susan Williams; and his sisters, Joyce and Kathy.
He is survived by: his daughters, Kimberley Dixon (Tony), Angela Manning (James, Jr.) of Grimesland and Lisa Johnson (Tom) of Greenville; and his stepsons, Stephen Williams (Sherry) of Richardson, TX and David Williams of Greenville. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
