He was predeceased by: his parents, Simmie "Junior" Watts and Geneva Mae Henricksen (Hendon); his stepfather Einar "Sam" Henricksen; and his brother Jimmie Watts. He is survived by: his grandson Martin; his wife LaVerne; his children, Jennifer Watts Robinson (Kevin) of Vanceboro, Sarah Watts Proctor (Justin) of New Bern and Toby Joseph "T. J."; his sisters, Anita Fugiel, Sally Hockman and Cynthia Tacker; and his grandchildren, Kierra Fussell (Jordan), Kayleigh, Ainsley Robinson, Gabriella, Geneva, Layla Belle, Jake Cascioli, Garrett, Alaina, Devin and Audrey Harrison.
