She was predeceased by: her parents, Tom Allen and Lossie Dunn Allen; her stepfather Fred Martin; and her sister Christine Webb. She is survived by: her husband Timothy B. Hardee; her children, Connie A. Elks (Neil, family: Courtney E. Yates, Laura E. Deans, Cutler R. Elks, Sara E. Smith), Timothy R. Hardee of Greenville and Michael Hardee of Greenville; her great grandchildren, Justin, Patrick, Sophia, Colton, Addison, Weston and Emily; and her sisters, Grace Barnes, Virginia Adams and Linda Weatherington.
Known for her incredibly strong work ethic, Mrs. Hardee had a number of jobs throughout her teenage years and on into her 70's until Alzheimer's ripped this joy from her.
