He is survived by: his wife Catherine Herald; his sons, James Herald of Chester, VA and Richard Herald of Springfield, VA; and his stepchildren, Warren Limerick of Coates, NC, Jason Limerick of Houston, TX and Aundria Limerick-Fanelli of Fredericksburg, VA. He is also survived by five grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.
