It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Freda Ann Sutton Kovalchick of Greenville, North Carolina, born in Knoxville, Tennessee, who passed away on September 13, 2021, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Fred Sutton and Anna Sutton; and her husband John Andrew Kovalchick. She is survived by: her daughters, Judy K. Ketron (Bill) of Powhatan, VA and Terry K. McGowan of Greenville; her grandchildren, Kristin Snelson (Ric) of Richmond, VA, Jennifer McKenzie (Kevin Purcell) of Richmond, VA and Charles McGowan, IV (Heather) of Apex, NC; her great grandchildren, Blake, Brody, Bailey Snelson, Liam McKenzie and Finan McGowan; her sister Joyce Jones of Elon, NC.; and also Rev. Andrew Shue.
Due to COVID 19 safety precautions, the family has chosen not to have a formal visitation.
