With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Elton Dawson Reel of Greenville, North Carolina, who passed away on December 1, 2021 at the age of 97. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Laurie Radford Reel and Eula Roach Reel; his former wife Christine Strickland Reel; his son Elton D. Reel, Jr. (Iris); and his siblings, Louis Reel and Margie Paramore.
He is survived by: his wife Louise Bland Reel; his children, Thomas Bland of Minnesott Beach, Joy Nethercutt of Greenville, Gwen Tippett (Ricky) of Laurinburg and Candice Moore (Kenneth) of Greenville; his grandchildren, Jennifer Moore, Carl Nethercutt, Brandon Moore (Lisa), Christine Ellis (Robbie), Kathleen Blankenship (Jonathan) and Kevin Bland; and his sisters, Miriam Pleasant of Greenville, Becky McGowan of Greenville and Lois Gray of Grimesland. He is also survived by several great-grandchildren.
