She was predeceased by: her husband Elworth Roach; and her parents, Herman Boyd and Sophia Boyd. She is survived by: her children, Patsy R. Forrest (Ricky) of Vanceboro, Sheryl R. Cayton (Federico) of Ham's Crossroads and Bobby Roach (Linda) of Hudson's Crossroads; her grandchildren, Stephen Haddock, Sharon H. Cannon, Jeffery Cayton (Janie), Daniel Roach, Lee Roach, Mark Bjork and Marianne Cox; her great grandchildren, Stephanie Ingram (Drew), Scott Haddock (Jenny), Carrie Haddock, Colby Cannon, Melissa Reason (Brandon), Brandon, Corey, Savannah, Sophie Roach, Kennedy Grace, Bryan Roach, Casey, Jagger Bjork, Kaitlyn McMillan, Adam and Ryan Cox; her great great grandchildren, J. J. Reason, Sophie Grace Reason, Anna DeVere Ingram, Skylar, Jackson, Tessa Bjork and Riley Roach; and her brother Melvin H. Boyd (Doris) of Winterville.

Due to health concerns with Covid-19, a private service will be held in the mausoleum at Pinewood Memorial Park.
