He was predeceased by: his parents, Arden Tucker and Corinne Tucker; his wife Barbara Lane Tucker; and his children, Lynn Tucker Grogan and Michael Arden Tucker.
He is survived by: his pet Mieka; his children, Donald H. Tucker, Jr. (Mary) of Raleigh and Dr. Susan Weaver (Rob) of Raleigh; his daughter-in-law Heidi Tucker of Greenville; and his sister Dr. Susan Hatcher (Martin) of Greensboro. He is also survived by grandchildren and 1 great granddaughter.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to a charity of the giver's choice or to the Duke University School of Medicine.
