He was predeceased by: his parents, Dewey Darl Whitehurst, Sr. and Dorothy Turnage Elliott; and his son Dewey Darl Whitehurst, III. He is survived by: his daughters, Kelly Radeka Peralta (Arturo) of Wilson, NC and Crystal Whitehurst Howard (Aaron) of Robersonville, NC; his grandchildren, Nickolas Radeka, III, Olivia Radeka, Cole Howard, Madilyn, Mason Wyenandt, Natalie and Isabel Peralta; and his sisters, Elaine Whitehurst Chandler (Mike) of Washington, NC and Julianne Elliott Cordon (Troy) of Graham, NC. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Wilkerson Funeral Home to assist the family with expenses.
