With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Clara Mae Scott (Greenville, North Carolina), born in Ayden, North Carolina, who passed away on August 27, 2021 at the age of 86. She was predeceased by: her mother Clara Mae Darden (Lyman Earl Scott); her siblings, John Lee Scott and Peggy Lou Brown; her daughter Yolanda Yvette Brown; and her sister Jessie B. Jones (Puddin).
She is survived by: her husband Lyman Scott; her children, Jackie Scott Smith and Eddie Dean Smith of Glendale, Arizona; her grandchildren, Maria, William Lennon-Scott, Clarissa Jenell Smith, Briana Nicole Smith of Arizona and Kimberly Brown; her great grandchildren, Izaiah David Smith and Noah Anthony Hall of Arizona; and her goddaughters, Muriel Jones Hines of Greenville, NC and Kristian Dawson-Chadwick of Winterville, NC. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
