It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carrie Elizabeth Leggett (Greenville, North Carolina), who passed away on January 20, 2022, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her mother Callie Gurganus; her husband Benjamin Paul Leggett, Jr.; her siblings, George, Trillis, Leonard and Nancy; and her daughter-in-law Rebecca Nadine Rhodes Leggett.
She is survived by: her sons, Mark Leggett (Debra) and David Leggett; her grandchildren, Alan Leggett, Jessica Blake, Taylor Gurganus, Katie Peaden and Emily Stapleford; her great grandchildren, Chloe Blake, Mackenzie, Hudson Carraway, Oliver and Scott Stapleford; and her siblings, Dorothy Johnson, Dale Honeycutt and Billy Gurganus. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
