She was predeceased by: her parents, Stancil Sumrell and Mary Sumrell; and her brother Tommy Sumrell. She is survived by: her brother Kenneth Sumrell; her nieces, Erica Grimsley and Meredith Sumrell; her friend Jackie Jones; and her caregiver Mary Chamberlain. She is also survived by other extended family members and friends.
