Alton Eugene Andrews Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Alton Eugene Andrews of Greenville, North Carolina, who passed away on January 27, 2022 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Thurman Andrews and Goldie Leggett Andrews; his wife Dorothy Ayers Andrews; and his daughter Vickie Andrews Cox. He is survived by: his children, Gene Andrews (Alice) of Chocowinity and Kim Welker (Scott) of Albemarle, NC; his son-in-law Hoyt Cox of Arden, NC; his siblings, Edward Andrews of Richmond, VA, Melba Rhodes of Greenville, Haywood Andrews of Robersonville and Linda Scott of Hamilton; and his brother-in-law Dennis Williamson of Robersonville. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mid-Atlantic Christian University Scholarship Fund. Donations should be directed to the Vickie Andrews Cox Scholarship and marked in memory of Alton Andrews.
