He was predeceased by: his brother Herbert Arthur Simmons (Ott). He is survived by: his wife Elaine M. Simmons; his daughter Amanda Simmons Landers (Jason); his grandchildren, Stella Rae Harton, Olivia Grace Landers of Greensboro, Cheryl Ann Brown (Freddie), Kelli Barbery, Brian Nelson, Samuel Treadaway, III and Cody Ray Brown; and his sister-in-law Becky Simmons of Rockingham.
Given Cotton's love of golf, the family suggests a donation be made in his memory to PGA REACH, 100 Avenue of the Champions, Palm Beach Gardens, Florida 33418.
