He is survived by: his brothers, Jerry Nichols, Ronnie Nichols and Wayne Nichols; his children, Becky Long, Tommy Long and Larry Long; his grandchildren, Dawn Davis, Crystal Jessup, Cody Barnhardt, Tommy Long Jr., Christina Long, Bobby Chamberlin, Mark Chamberlin Jr., Ashley Long, Heather Long, Michelle Long and Michael Long; and his aunt Julia.
