Though Robert may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Hadley Watkins and Mary Christine Todd Watkins; and his sister JoAnn Watkins Walters. He is survived by: his grandson Daniel Smith; his wife Sarah Lee Keener; his brothers, Tommy Watkins of Charlotte, NC and Roy Watkins of Mooresville, NC; and his children, Dr. Catherine Ann Watkins of Winston-Salem, NC and Dr. Robert Todd Watkins Jr. of Chapel Hill, NC.. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
A memorial service was held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 at 3:30 PM at the Donaldson Funeral Home & Crematory Griffin Chapel (396 West St, Pittsboro, NC 27312).
