He was predeceased by: his parents, J. D. Newman and Mamie Lee Polston Newman; and his siblings, Lib, Pauline, Sue, Frank and Ebbie.
He is survived by: his wife Wanda Gunter Newman; his children, Joe "YoYo" Newman (Cindi), Sarah "Weasel" Calderon (Roberto) and Susie Chastaine; his grandchildren, Brandon, Brittany, Maci, Michaella, Allen, Daniel, Roxanne, Roberto, Jr. and Logan; and his niece Brenda Grice. He is also survived by 10 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the funeral home for expenses or to GoFund Me fund.
