We are sad to announce that on September 19, 2024, at the age of 90, Joanne Hensley of Gastonia, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Josephine Spence Madison and Arnold Chatfield; her husband James Hensley; and her stepfather Charles Madison. She is survived by: her son Charles Hensley (Barbara) of Belmont, NC; her grandson Aaron Thomas (Mallory) of Gastonia, NC; her great grandchild Palmer Thomas; her nephew Edward Hensley (Vickie) of Charleston, WV; and her cousins, Beth Spence and David Spence.
