He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Johnson and Helen Johnson; his wife Dianne Johnson; and his son Brian Johnson. He is survived by: his children, Tammy Caldwell (Chuck) of Bessemer City and David Johnson Jr. (Amy) of Bessemer City; his sister-in-law Debbie Parks (Charlie); his grandchildren, Heather Shuster (Rick), Eric Brigman (Kaylynn), Trey Johnson, Caroline Johnson, Gregory Hardesty, Ciara Hardesty and Christina Hardesty; and his niece Laura Greenway. He is also survived by other loving nieces and nephews.
A memorial service was held on Friday, November 15th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the Chapel of A Simple Service Burial and Cremation.
