Joe David Carpenter Sr. Obituary

We are sad to announce that on January 3, 2021, at the age of 84, Joe David Carpenter Sr. of Gaston, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, James Luther and Vergie Lee Jenkins Carpenter; and his siblings, James Lee Carpenter and Jean Clark. He is survived by: his wife Gloria Clanton Carpenter; his children, Joe D. Carpenter, Jr. (Kim), Keith Allen Carpenter (Cynthia), Gary Scott Carpenter, Stephen Lamar Carpenter and Angela Tonya Carpenter; his grandchildren, Shane Carpenter (Susan), Melissa Bousselot (John), Michael Carpenter (Christy), Joshua Carpenter Adam Carpenter (Lauren), Samuel Carpenter and Jamie Carpenter; and his siblings, Dan Carpenter (Betty) and Jenny "Sue" Carpenter Curtis (Charles). He is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren.
