He was predeceased by: his parents, Adam Scott, Sr. and Martha Jarrell Scott; his siblings, Margaret S. Beam, Mavis S. Tart, Maxine S. Nelson, Minnie S. Haithcock, Martha S. Alford, Linda S. Brown, Adam Scott, Jr. and Eugene Glenn Scott; and his brother-in-law Ronald Woodruff.
He is survived by: his stepdaughter Lindsey Boone (Milton) of Bracey, VA; his siblings, Arvin W. Scott (Deborah Fontanna) of Garysburg, Marilyn S. Phelps (Thomas) of Roanoke Rapids, Arlene S. Merritt of Roanoke Rapids and Irma S. Woodruff of Roanoke Rapids; and his close friend Mary Estepp. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
