He was predeceased by: his parents, Lester Atkinson and Martha Moore. He is survived by: his wife Lucy Atkinson; his children, Bobby Atkinson of Kentucky, Batisha Atkinson of Kentucky and Shelia Atkinson of Greenville, NC; and his sisters, Martha Ruth Knight of Spring Lake, NC, Judy Johnson of New Jersey, Mamie Darden of Bridgeport, CT and Ruth Davis of South Carolina. He is also survived by one grandchild and other loving relatives and friends.
