She was predeceased by: her father Preston Allen Pitts; her husband Oliver Smart; and her siblings, Dewey Pitts, Bill Pitts, Cophelia Frazier and Ann Bass.
She is survived by: her children, Robin Dobbins (Bruce) of Ellenboro, Rhonda Byers (Randy) of Ellenboro and Jimmy Smart (Renee) of Mooresboro; her sister Sybil Fisher; her grandchildren, Amie Hardin (Jason), Cassie Humphries (Charlie), Tyler Smart (Carlie) and Parker Smart (Carlee); and her great grandchildren, Landon Fagan, Laela Humphries, Chloe Hardin and Grayson Smart.
