It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Evelyn Sanders Sappenfield of Forest City, North Carolina, born in Pageland, South Carolina, who passed away on May 28, 2022, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Boyce Heath and Annie Hicks Sanders; her son James A. Sappenfield, III; and her sister Rachel Sanders Fuller. She is survived by: her husband Jim; her sons, Jeffrey Scott Sappenfield (Patti) and Craig Heath Sappenfield (Barbara); her daughter-in-law Susan; her grandchildren, Lindsay, Jimmy of Lauren, CJ, Luke, Paige and Paxton; and her nieces, Kelly and Kyle. She is also survived by nine great-grandchildren.
