She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernest Smart and Dorothea McGinnis Smart; her husband Robert Poteat; her daughter Donna Moore; her grandchildren, Eric Poteat and Brandy Cash; and her sister Doris Smart.
She is survived by: her son Ricky Poteat (Cheryl) of Forest City; her granddaughter Leslie Stalcup (Todd) of Bessemer City, NC; her great grandchildren, Chase Dotson, Austin Greene, Jonathan Cash, Tyler Cash, Caleb Stalcup (Aryn) and Hannah Stalcup; and her great great grandchild Tegan Stalcup.
