She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Winslow Mauney and Fannie Belle Dedmon Mauney; her husband Samuel L. "Sammy" Lawing, Jr.; and her grandson Jonathan Lawing. She is survived by: her son Eric Lawing (Patti) of Forest City; and her granddaughter Sarah Lawing Wilson (Derek).
