He was predeceased by: his sister Betty McNeill. He is survived by: his wife Sandra of Fayetteville, NC; his children, Brian Winston of Newark, NJ, Sabrina Nichole of Charlotte, NC and Cathy Ann Madrid (Christopher) of Fayetteville, NC; his grandchildren, Erik Henderson, Asia Cox, James Murphy III and Nicholas Madrid; his great grandchild Kassani Coakly; his siblings, Annie McLain (Harold), David Levern I (Helen), Earl Leonard and Reginald Kendall; his cousin Mary Thomas; his brother-in-law John McNeill; his uncle James A. Davis (Bertha); and his aunts, Bernice Davis and Daphine Davis.
A memorial service was held on Thursday, November 7th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Colvin Funeral Home Chapel (2010 Murchison Rd, Fayetteville, NC 28301).
