She was predeceased by: her husband James Benjamin Lewis Sr.; her sister Faye Lindsay; her grandson David Lewis; and her daughter-in-law Jo Ann Lewis. She is survived by: her children, Jimmy Lewis (Jenny) of Farmville, Johnny Lewis of Farmville, Phyllis Hurt (Howard) of Rockwell, Phil Lewis (Kim) of Greenville and Dena Hansley (Phil) of Clayton; her sisters, Linda Beamon of Farmville, Connie Smith of Farmville and Ruby Kennedy of Farmville; and her caregiver Vivian Blalock. She is also survived by fifteen grandchildren; twenty-five great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 from 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM at the May Lew Farm (5130 W Wilson St, Farmville, NC 27828). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 at 2:30 PM at the Farmville Funeral Home Chapel (4226 E Church St, Farmville, NC 27828).
