He was predeceased by: his wife Carolyn Daniels Owen; his parents, Claude Owen and Minnie Galloway Owen; and his siblings, Tommy, Eddie, Donnie Owen and Jean Owen Davis.

He is survived by: his daughter Heidi Owen of Etowah; his grandson Daniel Owen; his son Bryan; his daughter-in-law Jennifer Owen of Chesnee, SC; and his siblings, Ronnie, Larry, Steve Owen and Debbie Owen Ayers.
