It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Jerry Lee Travis of Efland, North Carolina, born in Rutherford College, North Carolina, who passed away on July 2, 2023, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Haith Travis and Earl Franklin Travis; and his wife Joyce Clark Travis. He is survived by: his children, Jimmy Travis (Donna) of Efland and Carolyn Travis McDonald (Paul) of Efland; his sisters, Sylvia Slaughter (Jimmie) and Peggy James of Mebane; and his grandchildren, Amanda Travis of Morrisville, Katie Travis (Randall Benton) of Graham, Tyler McDonald (Lindsey) of Mebane and Ashley McDonald of Efland.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
