He was predeceased by: his parents, Hugh Allen Blalock and Pansy Cochran Blalock; his son Keith; his grandson Cory; his great grandchild Leanna Russell; and his brother Bruce Blalock.
He is survived by: his wife Kitty Mazie Tate Blalock; his sons, Larry (Cadie) of Efland, Sammy (Ruby) of Mebane, Joel Blalock of Efland and Jerry "Andy" (Beth) of Efland; and his sister Patsy Hill of Efland. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the Jim and Betsy Bryan Hospice Home of UNC Healthcare, 100 Roundtree Way, Pittsboro, North Carolina 27312.
