Vernell McAdoo of Efland, NC.; her son Dominique Ruffin of Efland, NC; her brother James McAdoo II of Wilmington, NC; her stepchildren, Allen Ruffin of Hillsborough, NC, Tonya Ruffin of Mebane, NC and Bobbi Ruffin-Alston (Joshua) of Mebane, NC; her son John Sanders McAdoo; and her husband Bobby Ruffin.
