She was predeceased by: her parents, Willie McCain and Dorothy Person McCain; her husband James Winstead; and her sisters, Barbara Dixon, Annie Farrish, Virginia McCain and Margaret McCain.
She is survived by: her son William Winstead; her grandchildren, Marcus Winstead of Durham, James Winstead of Durham, Gregory Winstead of Durham, William Winstead, Jr. of Durham and Jamon Waller of Durham; and her siblings, Willie McCain of Roxboro, Dorothy Tanner (Derrick) of Durham, Christine Byrd of Durham, Felicia Allen of Roxboro, Carolyn Satterfield of Roxboro and Sally Scoggins of Roxboro. She is also survived by loving relatives and friends.
