She was predeceased by: her husband Harold Wachter. She is survived by: her brothers, John Hughes (Emily) and Alan Johnsen; her stepsons, Bryon (Melissa), Barry (Teresa) and Bradley Wachter (Careene); and her stepgranddaughters, Jocelyn and Antonia Wachter.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in memory of Susan Wachter.
