With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Lawrence Leverne Lewis Jr. of Durham, North Carolina, born in Richmond, Virginia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 7, 2024 at the age of 78. He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Leverne Lewis, Sr. and Dorothy Elizabeth Hunt Lewis; his wife Lona Mae Walker Lewis; his grandson Steven Autry; and his siblings, Randy Lewis and Brenda Caddell.
He is survived by: his children, Crystal Autry (Bryan), Wendy Lewis and Brad Lewis (Petey); his grandchildren, Victoria Powell (Robbie), Victor Autry (Courtnee), Lauren Lewis, Cole Lewis, Zak and Alex; and his great grandchildren, Jorden, Amelia, Mae, Allison, Austyn, Rebecca and Delaney. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and other family members.
In lieu of flowers, the family gratefully asks that memorials be made to Hock Family Pavilion Hospice Home, 4023 N. Roxboro Street Durham, NC 27704.
