We are sad to announce that on May 20, 2024, at the age of 92, Irene Velma Talbott (Durham, North Carolina), born in Danville, Virginia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Caleb Alexander and Elma Blanche Alexander; her former husband Walter Cedric Mills; her husband Marion Obie Talbott; and her siblings, Estelle McKinnies, Patsy Elizabeth Alexander, Estus Alexander (Bettie) and Edward Vernon Alexander.
She is survived by: her children, Valari Ann Mills-Tooley (Tonja), Linda Mills Jones (Ezzie) and Walter Michael Mills (Jane); her stepdaughter Joyce Annette Purnell (Peat); and her siblings, Lee Alexander (Cheryl), Sylvia Howell (Lawrence) and Theresa Wilmoth (L. B.). She is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
