He was predeceased by: his parents, Alvin August Hardersen and Irene Vivian Waldner Hardersen; his former wife Dianne Thompson Hardersen; his stepmother Naomi Hardersen; and his in-laws, Allen and Betty Thompson.
He is survived by: his wife Sheryl Phillips Hardersen; his children, John Turpen (Carol), Angela Keith (Brandon), Katie King (Daniel) and Christie Giemza (Paul); his stepsons, Michael Sumner (Olga Herrera) and David Sumner; his grandchildren, Bailey Turpen, Brady Turpen, Riley Keith (Debbie), Avery Keith, Bennett Keith, Leslie King, Laurel King, Corrie Giemza, Brooke Giemza and Aidan Sumner; his brother Ron Hardersen (Tammy); and his siblings-in-law, Dennis Thompson, Roger Thompson (Peggy) and Becky Keebaugh. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
