She was predeceased by: her parents, Archie Hardison and Vira Jackson Hardison; her husband Adam Oscar Tew, Jr.; her grandson Art Tew; and her brother-in-law Max Jackson.

She is survived by: her son Eddie Tew (Kathy) of Southport; her grandsons, Austin Tew of Raleigh and Wesley Cain of Greenville; and her sister Agnes Jackson of Dunn.
