She was predeceased by: her parents, Donell Lee and Clyda M. Lee; her husband Robert Hill; her siblings, D. R. Lee, Jr., William David Lee, Baby Lee, Lavelle Warren, Mary Lou Johnson and Faye Lee; and her son-in-law Don Benson.
She is survived by: her children, Janet West (John) of Dunn, Cheryl Benson of Wake Forest and Bobby Hill (Natalya) of Raleigh; her sisters, Judy Lee of Dunn and Becky Lassiter of Dunn; and her grandchildren, Lee Robertson (Lena), Jennifer W. Gunter (Ron), Robert Hill, III and Ashlee Hill. She is also survived by eight great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
