He is survived by: his wife Barbara McMillan; his stepdaughter Tobonda McQueen; his stepgrandchildren, Laquanya McQueen, Reta Parrish and Jasmine Elliott; his siblings, Lillian Nelson of Dunn, NC, Annette Nelson of Newton Grove, NC, Kennedy Nelson of Raleigh, NC, Benjamin Nelson, Tory Worth and Sam Nelson, Jr. of Manhattan, NY; and his son-in-law Ralph McKoy. He is also survived by six nieces; six nephews; five step great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
