He was predeceased by: his parents, Bernard Walker and Mary Rebecca Smith Walker; and his brother Jackie Carson Walker. He is survived by: his wife Edna G. Walker; and his siblings, Eric Bernard Walker (Beth) and Rebecca "Becky" Bass. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Crestview Baptist Church, 1001 Plainview Hwy., Dunn, NC 28334.
