With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Larry Deaton of Denver, North Carolina, born in Charlotte, North Carolina, who passed away on April 1, 2023 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Edna Fuquay Deaton and Lee Otis Deaton; and his sister Donna Kay Quan. He is survived by: his friend Ellen; his pet Larry; his wife Emily Page Funderburk Deaton; his daughters, Debra Morris, Cynthia Broadhead, Dege Harris, Gina Stone, Larice Riley and Kisha Sain; his grandchildren, Devin Thompson, Deanna Corby, Lauren Riley, Logan Riley, McKalia Sain, Danielle Sain and James Thomas Sain III; his daughters, Wendy Lerma and Julie Thrasher; and his nephews, Adam Quan and Zack Quan. He is also survived by Ten Great Grandchildren.
