It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Creighton Lamar Cherry (Denver, North Carolina), who passed away on April 30, 2024, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his mother Mabel Cherry; and his brother Noel "Jack" Cherry. He is survived by: his wife Leatha Edwards Cherry; his daughters, Heidi C. Gillelan (Jeff) of Dallas and Susan Cherry of Dallas; and his sister Gloria Hovis (John) of Stanley. He is also survived by four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
