She is survived by: her son Brian Ball (Gail); her grandchildren, Matthew Ball and Valerie Ball; her siblings, Kevin Fishburn, Nikki Angus and Janice Edwards; and her siblings-in-law, Dorothy Freeman, Judy Steedly (Eddie) and Howard Ball.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home, 945 Zephyr Rd., Dobson, NC 27017.
