It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sheila Dills Courtney of Dallas, North Carolina, born in Gastonia, North Carolina, who passed away on September 26, 2023, at the age of 69, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Seab Lee Dills and Emogene Elders Dills. She is survived by: her husband Ronald Lee Courtney; her children, Matthew Scott Courtney (Jessica Rose) of Charlotte, NC and Taylor Marie Courtney Duvall (Samuel Duvall) of Arlington, MA; her brothers, Larry Lamar Dills (Tammy) of Dahlonega, GA and Scott Lee Dills (Andrea) of Dallas, NC; and her granddaughters, Leila Rose Courtney and Iris Evelyn Courtney. She is also survived by aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and close friends.
The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to the Robin Johnson House, 5005 Shepherd's Way, Dallas, NC 28034.
