We are sad to announce that on February 3, 2023, at the age of 68, Roland Edwin Melton (Dallas, North Carolina), born in Gaston, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his father Ray Melton; and his brother Leonard Melton. He is survived by: his wife Barbara; his son Eric Melton (Jennifer); his grandchildren, Hailey Hawkins (Jeffery) and Jake Melton; his great grandchild Sophia Grace Hawkins; his brothers, Cleveland Melton (Sondra) and William "Billy" Melton; and his cousin Junior Wood (Teresa). He is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.

The family suggests that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to Robin Johnson House, 5005 Shephards Way Dr. Dallas, NC 28034.
