He was predeceased by: his father Jonah Marlowe. He is survived by: his wife Diane McNabb Marlowe; his daughters, Pam Workman (Jeff) and Lisa Thacker (Eric); his stepson Greg Yelton; his grandchildren, Summer Workman and B. J. Brooks; and his stepgrandchildren, Brandon and Jesse Robinson. He is also survived by seven great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Gaston Hospice – PO Box 3984, Gastonia, NC 28054.
