With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Gurline Compton Lewis of Dallas, North Carolina, born in Comer, Georgia, who passed away on April 11, 2022 at the age of 89. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Gurline Compton Lewis to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by: her father Guy T. Compton; and her siblings, Bette June Stallings and Donald Compton. She is survived by: her husband Billy E. Lewis; her children, Michael Scott Lewis and Myra Lewis Helms; her grandchildren, Jantzen Michael Lewis and Spencer Ryan Helms; and her nieces and nephews, Cam Stallings, Tim Stallings, Laurie Medlin, Donna Compton and Jeff Compton.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Flint Grove Baptist Church, 2017 East Ozark Avenue, Gastonia, NC 28054.
