It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Christine (Ratchford) Clemmer of Dallas, North Carolina, who passed away on April 20, 2022, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Ida Ratchford (Clemmer) and Jasper Eli Ratchford; and her husband Vernon Augustus Clemmer Jr.. She is survived by: her daughter Julia Hamrick (Clemmer); her son-in-law Mark Hamrick; her siblings, Thelma Cloninger, Mary Brown Robinson, Fred Ratchford, Sam Ratchford and Claude Ratchford; her son Vernon "Gus" Clemmer III (Wanda); her grandchildren, Cari Hamrick Wilson (Danny Centofanti), Anna Long (Tayler) and Justin Clemmer (Shaina); and her great grandchildren, Brennley and Caroline. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Christine's name to the C.A.R.E Ministry or the Dallas Baptist Church, 402 W. Trade Street, Dallas, NC 28034.
